Christian Bjørtuft Ellingsen has over two decades of specialization in maritime and transport law, including marine insurance. His expertise notably extends to both contentious and non-contentious aspects of shipbuilding contracts, offshore construction, and various repair and construction contracts within the transportation sector. Ellingsen's professional career encompasses legal assistance in pioneering shipbuilding projects, including contracts, insurance and liability issues in autonomous vessel projects. He also handles cargo claims, charter party disputes and a broad range of issues related to transport and logistics.

In the energy domain, Ellingsen has extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious work in sectors like offshore- and onshore wind, hydro, and hydrogen/ammonia – covering a wide range of contracts including, inter alia, Turbine Supply Agreements (TSAs), Operation & Maintenance/Service Agreements (O&Ms/SAs), electrical and civil Balance of Plants (e- and cBOPs), as well as supply and installation contracts for electrolysers.

Ellingsen also has extensive experience with other tort and contractual disputes, including compensation claims related to public procurement competitions where he has represented clients in landmark cases before Norwegian courts.
